Cork Airport Hotel for sale for E4.75m
Wednesday, 20th June 2012 10.28am

The Cork International Airport Hotel is being put up for sale by the receiver with an asking price of E4.75m.

It is a 145 bedroom, 4 star hotel within walking distance of the Airport. It was developed by Bernard McNamara and opened in July 2007.

There are extensive conference and banqueting facilities which can cater for up to 320 people and 10 meeting rooms.

Other unique features include a Pullman Lounge with 10 first class airplane style seats and a "hairport" hair salon. The property also comes with approximately 160 parking spaces and a basement that offers potential for further developing the business.

Tifco Hotels have managed the hotel since May 2009 and the hotel trade is not impacted by the sale, the receiver, Paul McCann of Grant Thornton, said.

However, the property is available free from this management agreement if required, said Tom Barrett of Savills.

"Cork International Airport Hotel presents a significant opportunity to acquire a unique operating business. The Hotel's trade and profitability have grown in recent years and there is great potential to build the business further. This is an excellent opportunity for many owner operators and investors," said Mr Barrett.
